Icom IC-2300H VHF FM Mobile Transceiver for Base and Vehicle Use
The Icom IC-2300H is a 144 MHz VHF FM mobile transceiver rated at 65 W. Icom now lists it as a discontinued product, so supply is limited to what remains in the channel. The radio keeps the panel layout of the earlier IC-2200H. CQFF Radio Communication supplies it for wholesale and B2B orders.
Product Overview
The IC-2300H is a 2 m FM mobile for vehicles and base stations. Icom rates the output at four levels: 65 W, 25 W, 10 W and 5 W. Power comes from a 13.8 V DC supply, the standard for this class of radio.
Memory is generous. The set holds 207 channels: 200 regular memories, 6 scan edges and 1 call channel. Each channel carries a 6-character name. Ten memory banks under Icom’s Dynamic Memory Scan let fleets group channels by site or by function.
Tone signalling is built in. The radio encodes and decodes CTCSS and DTCS, with DTCS on transmit only. Pocket beep and tone scan complete the set. An automatic repeater function and weather channel receive with alert are included in the USA version only.
Operation stays simple. The front LCD measures 70.6 by 20 mm, and its backlight can be set to amber, yellow or green. An attenuator reduces overload from strong nearby signals, and a time-out timer protects the transmitter. Cloning through the CS-2300H software copies one set-up across a fleet.
The cabinet is a rugged aluminium diecast that spreads heat, so RF output holds up during long transmissions. Icom states the radio was tested to and passed MIL-STD 810G. The published list covers low pressure, high and low temperature, temperature shock, solar radiation, vibration and shock.
This model is no longer in production. Icom marks it as discontinued and notes that the official page content dates from the time that page was created. Treat the data here as a reference for existing fleets and spares.
