Part of the MOTOTRBO DP3000 series, this DMR radio uses TDMA technology to double the number of users on a single 12.5 kHz channel. It also operates in analogue mode, so you can move to digital radio at your own pace.
Day to day, the menu-driven interface shows icons or two lines of text, and large navigation buttons keep menus easy to use. On top of that, free-form and quick text messaging helps when voice is not practical. The housing is rated IP57 and submersible in one metre of water for up to 30 minutes, while the Motorola DP3600 2 way radio is tested to MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F for durability.
